GREENCASTLE- West Side and Haverford will play for the Intermediate 50/70 state championship Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Horst Field. The game time was moved to 9:00 a.m. due to the probability of thunderstorms later in the day. The game will be broadcast live on Mid Penn Broadcasting beginning with the pregame show at 8:50 a.m. Click here to listen.

Haverford advanced to the title game, defeating Indiana 11-3 behind Henry Spiker’s complete game, allowing 3 runs, only one of which was earned, five hits, no walks, and eight strikeouts.  Daelyn Coleman McRae had three hits, and James Keane and Soren Schonveld each had two hits to lead Haverford’s 15-hit attack. Schonveld and Lucas DiLodovico each knocked in two runs.

Indiana eliminated LeBouef 11-1 earlier in the day to set up the semifinal game with Haverford.

West Side, the only undefeated team, can clinch the championship with a win over Haverford. If Haverford wins, it will force a deciding game, which will be played following the conclusion of the first game.

The winner will advance to the East Regionals in Dover, Delaware, next week to play for a berth in the 50/70 Intermediate World Series in Livermore, CA.
