Brooks Norris drove in five runs on three hits and Austin Mann drove in 4 on 3 hits to lead SoFo Indians (13-1, 4-1) past Fannett Metal 15-0 on Thursday at Southern Fulton Junior/Senior High School. Norris doubled in the third scoring three, singled in the first scoring one, and singled in the second scoring one. Mann doubled off the left field fence in the first scoring one, singled in the second scoring two, and singled in the 3rd scoring one.
The Indians got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Austin Mann doubled down the left field line, Fannett Metal committed an error, and Norris singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
SoFo added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Blake Shipley singled to center field, Paul Hendershot singled down the left field line, Mann singled down the left field line, Owen Oakman singled to center field, Norris singled down the right field line, and Kaden Saunders tripled, each scoring one run.
SoFo scored six runs on two hits in the bottom of the third inning. Hendershot drew a walk, scoring one run, Mann singled, scoring two runs, and Norris doubled, scoring three runs to finalize the game.
Norris earned the win for the Indians. The righty surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Noah Naugle took the loss for Fannett Metal. The pitcher went two innings, surrendering nine runs (seven earned) on 10 hits, striking out none and walking none. Easton Conley tossed one inning of scoreless ball for SoFo Indians in relief. The pitcher surrendered two hits, striking out none and walking none.
Next up for SoFo is county rival McConnellsburg. The Indians will travel to take on the Spartans Saturday night at 6:30pm.
