Greencastle-Antrim 92, Shippensburg 58: The Blue Devils had several good performances that added up to a Mid Penn Colonial win over the Greyhounds in a meet at Shippensburg on Tuesday.
Kadence Abbott earned wins in the 100 (13.1), 100 hurdles (16.8) and the 200 (27.4), and also ran a leg on the winning 4×100 relay team, that included Aqueelah Hogue, Emma Marx and Chloe Parks, and won in a time of 50.8.
Avery Russell did a lot of damage in distance events, picking up wins in the 800 (2:34.4), 1600 (5:47.3) and 3200 (12:44.2). Bailey Hurley was a double winner, taking first in the shot put (30-1) and discus (121-3).
Other winners for the Blue Devils (4-0, 4-0 MPC) were Parks in the long jump (16-1), Marx in the triple jump (33-7) and Alyssa Fowler in the pole vault (10-0).
Individual winners for Shippensburg were Skylen Runshaw in the 400 (1:02.5), Macy Ritter in the 300 hurdles (49.1), Emma Dawson in the high jump (4-6) and Camden Winters in the javelin (98-0).
BOYS TRACK & FIELD
Greencastle-Antrim 110, Shippensburg 40: By taking first place in 14 of the 18 events, the Blue Devils rolled to a Mid Penn Colonial victory over the Greyhounds on the road Tuesday afternoon.
Greencastle (4-0, 4-0 MPC) had four individuals who earned two first places each — Dane Medina in the long jump (19-2.5) and triple jump (39-10), Noah Parks in the 800 (2:05.4) and 1600 (4:37.1), Spencer Long in the 100 (10.9) and 200 (22.9) and Logan Andou in the 110 (15.2) and 300 (41.4) hurdles.
Other wins on the track for G-A included Cort Bradley in the 400 (52.5) and Ryan Gearhart in the 3200 (10:50.2).
In the field, Joe Lofton took first in the pole vault (12-0) and Chase Diller in the javelin (152-9).
For the Greyhounds, Ayden Foust won the discus with a throw of 150-11, Drake Wagner took the shot put with a heave of 51-3.75, Will Clough earned first in the high jump (5-10) and the 4×800 relay team placed first.
