Trojans are 5th at Trojan Wars: Chambersburg was the host for the 11th annual MyHOUSE Trojan Wars tournament on Saturday at CASHS Field House, with 47 teams competing.
After the first day, through the quarterfinal round, the Trojans were a surprising fifth in the team standings. However, Chambersburg did not have any wrestlers advance to Sunday morning’s semifinals.
Easton leads the team standings with 123.5 points, followed by Skyline, VA 103.9, Gettysburg 99.5, Biglerville 93.5 and Chambersburg 92.5.
The Trojans have 6 wrestlers still competing in the consolation rounds tomorrow.
Two Chambersburg wrestlers made it to the quarterfinal round, but were defeated. Jaccob Stoner fell by technical fall at 189 to Michael Spielman of Strath Haven, and Frank Barrientos was defeated 4-0 at 285 by South Western’s Ian Wysocki.
The other four Trojans, all with 3-1 record in the event so far, include Hunter Johnson at 107, Cody Seabolt at 121, Isaac Brambley at 127 and Deakon Snavely at 215.
Three Chambersburg wrestlers were knocked out of the tournament with 2-2 records — Aiden Yarnell (114), Justin Deneen (145) and Isaiah Tasker (172).

Chambersburg vs. Muhlenberg: This game was canceled when Muhlenburg and Central Dauphin agreed to play a game.
