Mechanicsburg jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead with 8:20 remaining in the first quarter on a Tanner Minnich 21-yard field goal, and then at the 1:25 mark of the first quarter, Mechanicsburg scored on a 1-yard run from Reece Miller and converted the extra point to make it 10-0.

It remained that way until the third quarter when Drake Dawson ran 34 yards for a touchdown. PAT was good, making it 17-0.

Mechanicsburg did not complete a pass in the game, making only four attempts. The Wildcats rushed 45 times for 160 yards of total offense.

Shippensburg completed one pass for 12 yards and attempted just eight passes.

The Greyhounds finished the regular season 7-3 and got the final playoff berth, finishing #12 in 5A, and will play a first-round game at Warwick Friday night, barring any change when the playoff seedings become official.
