Waynesboro (12-3, 10-2 MPC) came out on fire and took the first two games, 25-20 and 25-23.

But Greencastle (14-0, 12-0 MPC), put it together and won the next two, 25-13 and 25-17, to even the score, then captured a 15-11 win in the deciding fifth game to complete the huge win.

G-A coach Madee Goodwin said, “The girls came out looking a little slow tonight and Waynesboro really capitalized on that. In between sets 2 and 3, we had a great team chat about how we were going to turn our play around and start playing with more heart.

“And the girls went out and gave it their all to reverse sweep them.”

Four Greencastle players had at least 18 digs — Kylie Kerns (23), Abby Eagler (21), Wren Roberts (20) and Kinzee Hudson (18). Also on defense, Jordyn Wagner came up with 6 blocks.

Offensively, Eagler racked up 18 kills, Roberts had 10 and Kerns and Hayden Baer each had 9. Kerns (28) and Kaitlyn Alvey (20) split up most of the assists. In serving, Kerns had 18 points, Roberts had 15 and Alvey added 12.

The Blue Devils have two Colonial matches left, vs. Northern and Big Spring. A win in either one of them would capture the division championship.
