GIRLS SOCCER
Greencastle-Antrim 3, Shippensburg 2: The Blue Devils reversed an earlier 1-0 loss to the Greyhounds by taking a Mid Penn Colonial victory on Wednesday night at Kaley Field.

Callie Izer, Braelyn Cordell and Ava Witmer tallied the goals for Greencastle (4-7, 4-4 MPC), which built a 3-1 lead and then withstood some pressure at the end. Izer, Bailey Hurley and Jaylynn Lewis each contributed an assist for G-A.

Greencastle coach Jonathan Lewis said, “It was a hard-fought game. After going up 3-1, Shippensburg put it on us late, but we played hard defense and we got a win against a sound, tough defense.”

Shippensburg is 5-4 (5-3 MPC).
