Southern Fulton Falls to Everett in Five-Set Battle

The Southern Fulton varsity volleyball team dropped a hard-fought match to Everett on Tuesday night, falling in five sets by scores of 26-24, 14-25, 25-22, 19-25, 4-15. With the loss, the Indians move to 7-3 on the season.

Despite the setback, several players turned in strong performances. Claire Harvey led the offense with 11 kills, 6 blocks, 8 service points, 1 assist, and 13 digs, while Bailey Hulladded 10 kills, 4 blocks, 2 assists, 6 points, and 13 digs.

Defensively, Kamryn Pittman anchored the back row with an impressive 20 digs, while also contributing 8 points, 2 kills, and 3 assistsElsie Murray added 18 digs, 8 points, 1 kill, and 4 assists, while Kennedy Hixon directed the offense with 16 assists, 6 points, and 15 digs.

At the net, Alexis Johnson chipped in 5 kills and 2 blocks, and Lakyin Hixson added 5 points and 4 digs to round out the team effort.

The Lady Indians will travel to McConnellsburg for a conference matchup on Friday, September 19th.
