Southern Fulton Indians Lose To Fannett Metal in battle for ICC South supremacy.

The SF Indians could not keep up with Fannett Metal 7-3 on Wednesday and suffered their first defeat of the season.  The Indians now stand at 15-1, 6-1 and are tied with FM for the ICC South crown.  Both teams have 1 game left in conference to decide who advances into the ICC Championship tournament at Claysburg on Tuesday, 

Fannett Metal jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Jake Coffman doubled, scoring two runs, Joel Fitz induced Wade Appleby to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Ayden Ryder doubled, scoring two runs, and Noah Naugle singled, scoring one run.

Landon Arnold earned the win for Fannett Metal. The starter scattered seven hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking none. Joel Fitz took the loss for Southern Fulton. The pitcher went six innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking none.

Colt Mann led Southern Fulton with two runs batted in. The right fielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Jett Burger went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Indians in hits. 

Ryder drove the middle of the lineup, leading Fannett Metal with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Ryder and Naugle each collected two hits for Fannett.

Southern Fulton closes out their ICC South slate as they host Forbes Road tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 pm.  This will be the final home regular season contest.
