The Southern Fulton Indians (5-0, 2-0) scored six runs in the sixth inning, which helped them defeat Tussey Mountain 11-1 on Friday in an ICC cross divisional game.
The Indians were the first to get on the board in the when a Titan error scored Mark Fitz.
SF added another run in the second as Colton Mann laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt, making the score 2-0.
The Indians added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Austin Mann hit a deep sacrifice fly, and Kaiden Schriever doubled down the right field line, each scoring one run to make it 4-0.
Jr, Owen Oakman (3-0) earned the win for the Indians. The hurler gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out nine and walking none. Camden Chilcote took the loss for Tussey Mountain. The hurler went five innings, giving up six runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking two.
Colton Mann, the number eight hitter for the Indians, led the way with two runs batted in. The freshman right-handed hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Fitz, Jett Burger, Trentin Cain, Schriever, Oakman, Norris, and Mann each collected one hit for Southern Fulton. SF had patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game.
Connor Jones and Ben Kormanski each collected one hit for Tussey Mountain.
The Indians will travel to Tussey Mountain on Tuesday to take on the Titans at 4:30pm.
