The Shalom Lady Flames secured a commanding 55-31 victory against the Fannet-Metal Lady Tigers Monday night at home. The Flames continue to improve and pick up victories as they move toward possibly their first-ever entry into the PIAA District 3 tournament.

Starting slow against the Lady Tigers, the Lady Flames accelerated with two crucial three-pointers from Emily Rebok, finishing the first quarter with a 14-2 lead. Despite a late first-half surge from the Lady Tigers that narrowed the gap to 14 points, the Flames emerged revitalized after halftime. They played some of their best offensive basketball of the year, scoring 17 points while tightening their defense to concede only 5. They extended their lead to 26 points and secured a comfortable victory.

Tonight, the Flames’ offense was characterized by exceptional ball distribution, which provided numerous scoring opportunities for the team. Freshman Sydney Moore capitalized with 12 points, while Emily Rebok led the scoring with 18 points, shouldering the offensive load early in the game. Maya Lehman contributed 11 points, utilizing fastbreak chances. Addison Adams played incredible defense and distributed the ball unbelievably well while adding 6 points. Julianna Myers scored 6 points and showcased her defensive prowess, which is particularly crucial as Kaitlyn Thomas recovers from an ankle injury.
