HAGERSTOWN, Md. — The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers fell behind early and dropped a 56-29 decision to Grace Academy Tuesday evening in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference girls basketball matchup.
The Blazers (8-5, 4-2 MDCC) trailed 17-4 at the end of the first quarter and 27-10 at the half.
Addison Teal led the Blazers with 15 points. Regan Witmer scored eight, Kaitlyn Garvin four and Chloe Smith two. Garvin and Peyton Bricker each grabbed a team-high four rebounds, and Garvin made four steals.
“We got off to a slow start and we never able to get in a rhythm,” Blazers coach Corey Collins said. “We just couldn’t create momentum. Credit to Grace for playing strong defense. It’s a tough place to play.”
