State College 51, Chambersburg 10: The Little Lions smothered the Trojans on defense and collected a Mid Penn Commonwealth win on Friday night in State College.
Chambersburg (2-7, 1-4 MPC) scored 6 points in he first period to trail 14-6. But the Trojans managed only 4 points total in the final 3 periods.
“Overall, not a good showing — we had a lot of turnovers,” Chambersburg coach Jamiur King said. “We knew we would have games like this. We will continue to grow.”
Ayla Whiteley led the Trojans with 3 points.
For State College (9-1, 5-0 MPC), Deseray Mobley scored 18 points and Jess Hawbaker had 12.
