McConnellsburg 84 Faith Christian 21. The Spartans faced Faith Christian Academy Falcons in the first-round game of the 51st Fannett-Metal two-night Christmas tournament Friday, December 28th and dominated the court to extend their five-game win streak and fourth victory of forty-plus points.
The Spartans came out with full court pressure and man-to-man defense to stifle the Falcons up-court progress, and when the first quarter ended, the Spartans had sunk five 3-pointers and held a comfortable lead, 31-7. From junior forward Brayden Ramsey’s 22 first half points, the Spartans all-ahead-full scoring put them leading by 50, 61-11. In the second half, the Spartans, with more bench play, added 23 points to glide to victory, 84-21.
The Spartans (6-1 overall, 1-0 ICC South) had a season high scoring night with Ramsey having a season and career high 35 points, supported by sophomore guard Hoyt Glenn (15) and senior guard Dom Jefferson (13).
