Big third quarter powers Southern Fulton over Berkeley Springs

Southern Fulton took on Berkeley Springs in the opening night of their annual Holiday Tournament and beat the host 44 – 32.   Southern Fulton (4-3, 0-1 ICC South), led 16 to 13 at half time but used an 18 point 3rd period to open the game up.  Berkeley Springs mounted a comeback in the 4th, but Trentin Cain’s dunk as the buzzer went off put an exclamation point on the win.

Southern Fulton was led by Sammy Stotler with 16 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.  Trentin Cain had 14 points, 2 blocks, and 3 steals.  Gaven Mellott had 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Ashton Truax had 2 points, and 7 rebounds.  Teagan Ritz added 9 rebounds.

Southern Fulton will next play in the Championship game of the Berkeley Springs Holiday Tournament against James Wood on Saturday, December 28th, at 7:30 p.m.
