Fannett-Metal Loses at Mount Union

Fannett-Metal(2-3) travelled to Mount Union for an inter conference match up with the Trojans.  The Tigers led 9-5 after one and went into the half with a 19-16 lead.  Arnold(10) and Hostler(5) scored 15 of the Tigers 19 first half points.

In the second half, the Trojans knocked down a trio of treys to take a 31-29 lead after three quarters of play.  In a back and forth 4th quarter, the Trojans converted a steal into a lay up with just under 15 seconds to go to secure the hard fought victory 39-35 over the Tigers.  “We had some costly turnovers in the second half and missed a handful of easy baskets that really hurt.  But give Mount Union credit for executing down the stretch to win the game”, Coffmansaid.  

Landon Arnold had another solid all around game with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals.   The only other Tiger to reach double figures was Broc Hostler with 11 points.  He also added 5 assists. 

The Trojans held the rebounding advantage 29-27.  The Tigers had 23 turnovers in the contest while the Trojans had just 14.  FM shot 37% from the floor.
