Northern York 6, Greencastle-Antrim 1: The Blue Devils couldn’t pull off the upset against the Polar Bears in a non-league contest at Kaley Field on Monday night.
Northern (13-1-1), which occupies the No. 6 ranking in District 3 Class 4A, showed off its offensive firepower against Greencastle, which had allowed more than 1 goal in a game only four times this season.
The Blue Devils (11-4-1) managed to score one goal, by Cat Marchiano in the first half, assisted by Braelyn Cordell.
Lexi Nelson was called on for 10 saves in goal for G-A.

Northern York 7, Greencastle-Antrim 0: The Polar Bears began to take control midway through the first half and ended up beating the Blue Devils in a non-league Monday night in Dillsburg.
“The boys played well for the first 20 minutes and had the better of play,” G-A coach Tim Carey said. “But Northern has a deep bench and used it., while injuries and illness left us a bit short-handed. We never gave up; we just ran out of gas.
“Joe Lofton (15 saves) had a real nice game in goal for us.”
Northern (13-1-2), ranked No. 3 in District 3 Class 3A, led in shots, 22-4, and corner kicks, 3-0. Greencastle finishes its season at 5-13.
