East Pennsboro 4, Greencastle-Antrim 2: In a rainy Mid Penn Colonial game Monday evening in Enola, the Panthers shook of a comeback attempt by the Blue Devils to win by 2 goals.
East Pennsboro went ahead 3-0 in the first half, but G-A (3-10, 2-7 MPC) rallied with a pair of goals.
“We played a really controlled and intense game,” Blue Devil coach Keara Allshouse said. “We kept our heads up to make our comeback. Both of our goals were stunning.”
Kelsey Beauchamp took a penalty corner shot and the rebound was knocked in by Aiyanna Gonyea while laying out. On the second goal, Natalie Medina passed ahead to Jensen Keefer, who found Rowan Schubert with a cross before she shot it in.
Acacia Long and Brooklyn Baxter made defensive saves, and goalie Rebecca Jones stopped 14 shots.
