Greencastle-Antrim 3, James Buchanan : Despite having issues staying onsides, the Blue Devils posted a strong victory over the Rockets in a Mid Penn Colonial game Monday night in Mercersburg.
G-A coach Jamie Coy said, “We were called offsides 14 times. JB’s defense has a great offsides trap and they are very good at it.”
Greencastle (6-2-1, 5-0-1 MPC) had two players produce hat tricks — Maddie Koons and Brooke Guthrie. Also scoring goals were Bailey Hurley and Braelyn Cordell.
Earning assists were Koons, Cat Marchiano and Cordell.

Greencastle-Antrim 2, James Buchanan 1: Eli Christophel and Nolan Sullivan scored second-half goals to lift the Blue Devils over the Rockets in a Mid Penn Colonial game Monday night at Kaley Field.
Cooper Noblit and Mason DeVaughn contributed assists on the goals, which put the Blue Devils up 2-0, and keeper Joe Lofton made 3 saves.
G-A (3-6, 3-4 MPC) collected 15 shots to 4 for JB and led in corner kicks 6-1. The Rockets scored on a penalty kick with 13 seconds left in the game.
“We were not the same team that played Chambersburg tough on Saturday, but it’s a win,” Greencastle coach Tim Carey said. “We let JB hang around, but give them credit — they had a game plan and they stuck with it for 80 minutes.”
