Chambersburg 9, Waynesboro 0: The Trojan offense, which had 2 goals in their first four games, took it out on the Maidens on Friday afternoon at Trojan Stadium in a non-league encounter.

“The offense showed up today,” Chambersburg coach Kelsey Baker said. “The offense has been working really hard on first-line defense. After losing our lead on Carlisle on Wednesday, the whole team was ready for a comeback today.”

Jaxin Frazer led the scoring for the Trojans (1-4), putting up 3 goals and adding a pair of assists. Reagan Barrett also found the cage three times.

Baker said, “Reagan’s great in the circle. She always has her stick in the right place to deflect the ball into the cage — she’s a natural at it.”

Casie Vanaman also planted a pair of goals into the net, one a rebound off the goalie’s pads and one she lifted into the cage. Kendall Flory also scored a goal and Alex Bender supplied two assists. Goalie Addyson Hollenshead posted her first shutout of the year.

“I’m very proud of how the girls played today,” Baker said. “The whole team showed mentally and physically.”
