Fortney notches lowest score: Waynesboro senior Tyler Fortney busted out a 3-under par round Friday afternoon to collect medalist honors in a Mid Penn Colonial match at Range End G.C.
The Indian ace, who carded a 69, had the best score for the second straight match.
Northern easily won its home match in the team competition. Waynesboro took third, Greencastle-Antrim was fourth, Shippensburg fifth and James Buchanan sixth.
Also placing in the top 10 were Ben Horgos of Ship with a 79 (tie for 6th), Ben Horst of G-A and Abram Stock of JB each shot 81 to tie for eighth.
Also for the Blue Devils, Nick Reed shot 82 and Conner Wilhide shot 84.
For the girls, ‘Boro’s Abby Byers posted a 79 and Kaydee Beckenbaugh of the Greyhounds shot an 84.
