Back Mountain jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, then added three in the third and two more in the sixth. Ben Nulton and Nick Federici had home rums for Back Mountain, who will play for the state championship on Monday against Council Rock Newtown at 10:00 a.m.
Kolston Piper led Greencastle, going 2 for 3 with an RBi. Ryan Emlet had a double for the only extra-base hit for Greencastle.
Greencastle finished the postseason 12-3, capturing the District 14 West Championship and the Section 7 Championship, and finished third in the Pennsylvania state tournament.
