Mercersburg Academy 16, Chambersburg 6: The Trojans and Blue Storm played in ugly weather Friday afternoon at Regents Field, and Mercersburg came out with a victory in a non-league game.
For Chambersburg (2-15), Reagan Barrett tallied 3 goals to lead the offense. McKenna Myers, Taylor Mickey and Mara Costolo also found the net with shots. Gabriella Sabatino picked up an assist.
Trojan coach Keara Allshouse said, “It was a hard-fought battle today. I’m hoping we can finish the season with a win on Monday (at Bishop McDevitt).”
BOYS LACROSSE
Trinity 18, Chambersburg 4: The Trojans ran into an unbeaten Shamrock squad on Thursday night in a non-league contest at COBO Field and were handed a defeat.
For Chambersburg (7-10), goals were scored by Riley Harmon, Sam Kunkleman, Logan Mulkey and Ryan Cosey, while Garrett Iser and Matt Tucker each had an assist.
Goalie Kristian Freeman posted 10 saves and Kellen Sanders had one.
BASEBALL
Chambersburg at Shippensburg: The game was rained out and rescheduled for Tuesday.
SOFTBALL
Chambersburg at Greencastle-Antrim: The game was postponed and will be played next Friday.
