Jake Miller’s big day propels James Buchanan past Hanover

Jake Miller drove in four runs on two hits to lead James Buchanan past Hanover 11-1 in five innings on Thursday. Jake Miller doubled in the fifth inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the second, scoring one.

Carter Hissong struck out 10 batters on the day. The left-handed pitcher also gave up one hit and one run over five innings while walking two.

The Rockets got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Jimmy Bell tripled, scoring one run, and Drew Crouse singled, scoring two runs.

James Buchanan extended their early lead with two runs in the bottom of the second on RBI singles by Hayden Sanchez and Miller.

Carter Hissong hit a solo home run to right field in the bottom of the third for James Buchanan.

The Rockets collected 10 hits in the game. Miller, Crouse, and Hissong had two hits each.

James Buchanan will host Boiling Springs on Tuesday.
