On Monday night, the Southern Fulton Indians (6-4) faced off against the Everett Warriors in an exciting home matchup. At halftime, the Indians were trailing with a score of 21-19. However, in the fourth quarter, they outscored the Warriors 15 to 7 to take the lead and secure a victory.

Coach Wilhemina Wilt said “The girls showed excellent teamwork and made some crucial adjustments at halftime that paid off. They managed to keep Everett’s leading scorer scoreless in the second half, thanks to their impressive defense. They played solid defense and looked like one unit working together. Pittman had a big 4th quarter scoring 8 points, including two 3-pointers. Elder had the key locked down on defense totaling 8 defensive rebounds and 6 blocks. It seemed every time I was looking at the court Stotler and Harvey had another rebound as well. It was just a solid team effort and the girls played with poise in another close game. “

Pittman was the top scorer with 12 points, eight rebounds, one steal, and one block, followed by Harvey with nine points, nine rebounds, and four steals. Stotler also contributed with eight points, ten rebounds, two assists, and three steals, while Elder had six points, nine rebounds, six blocks, and one steal. McQuait scored two points, and made two rebounds, and one steal, while Johnson had two rebounds.

The Southern Fulton Indians play home, Thursday night January 11th, in an ICC South matchup against the Forbes Road Cardinals.
