McConnellsburg opened the 2023-2024 basketball season on the road and came away with a 65-47 win at Tussey Mountain.Braydon Ramsey, Drew Mellott, and Kade Gresss reached double figures and combined for 38 points in the Spartans victory.
Coach Joshua Lowery said “It was a tough slow start with a new young team on the road in a hostile environment. But the young group of Spartan men settled right in and went to town to capture a win on the road.
The Spartans where lead by Braydon Ramsey with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists,1 steal, Drew Mellott 15 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 charge taken, Kade Gress 13 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, Dom Jefferson 5 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assist, 1 steal, 1 charge taken, Hoyt Glenn 4 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, Shaffer Early 2 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 charge taken, Kohan Hall 2 points, Reese Alexander 2 points.
McConnellsburg will travel to Fairfield for a 4:30 game on Saturday December 9.
