GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Chambersburg 3, Waynesboro 0: The Trojans were on top of their game Monday night in a non-league match on the road against the Maidens, taking games of 25-19, 25-14 and 25-12.
“We came out and played really well tonight,” Chambersburg coach Ty Frelin said. “We kept Waynesboro out of system throughout the match, which in turn helped us run an effective offense. We played relaxed and confident.”
For the Trojans (7-10), Paige Davis led in three statistical categories — service points (11), assists (34) and digs (19). Addi Kegerreis wasn’t far behind, with 18 kills, 14 digs and 9 points.
Karley Skultety had 10 points and 17 digs, Marah Lehman had 9 kills and 13 digs, Nizaya Hwkins led with 3 blocks and Riley Evans had 2, and Alayna Jones added 6 kills.
Waynesboro is 11-7.
BOYS SOCCER
Chambersburg 3, Carlisle 1: The Trojans got back a little more help for the front line and defeated the Thundering Herd in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game at Trojan Stadium on Monday night.
Cristian Lopez returned from an injury and scored a goal and Mario Wiesman also returned and knocked in a goal for the Trojans (11-4, 8-3 MPC).
Luca Gaisbauer scored a goal and added an assist and Izhais Jean also had an assist.
“It was a good result on Senior Night,” Chambersburg coach Corey Grove said. “We got Cristian back and Mario was able to play a few minutes. I thought Cristian and Luca were exceptional this evening and helped lead the team against a tough Carlisle side.”
The Trojans led in shots, 10-5, and corners, 3-0, and keeper Drew Cover made 3 saves.

Carlisle 4, Chambersburg 1: The Trojans (7-9-1, 2-8-1 MPC) were defeated by the home standing Herd on Monday night. No other details were available.
