Michael Cespedes

BOYS SOCCER
Chambersburg 5, Red Land 2: Michael Cespedes found the back of the net four times to carry the Trojans to a Mid Penn Commonwealth victory over the Patriots at Trojan Stadium on Tuesday night.

“Michael Cespedes was no question the man of the match with his four goals,” Chambersburg coach Corey Grove said, “and Mario Wiesman had a nice finish, too.

“We had a few guys sidelined with injuries and illness, and we had some guys step up to play critical roles. Till Dickman and Colton Hunsecker slotted in and played well. We still have a ways to go in order for us to get where we want to be, but we are getting there.”

Hunsecker had a pair of assists and Wiseman had one for the Trojans (2-2, 1-1 MPC). Goalkeeper Drew Cover stopped 3 shots, as Chambersburg had 12 shots to 5 for Red Land.
