The only runs of the game were scored in the first inning. Kolston Piper lead off the bottom of the first with a triple, Levi McCarter had a bunt single scoring Piper to put Greencastle up 1-0, Eli Buhrman doubled and McCarter went to third and scored on a wild pitch to put Greencastle up 2-0. Nathan Herrmann grounded out putting Greencastle up 3-0.
Just like the previous three games between these teams the pitching dominated.
Jeremiah Murray went four innings allowing three hits, walking one and striking out four, He was relieved when Coleman Chamberlin lead off the top of the fifth with a double. Eli Wingert came in and pitched the final two innings and did not allow a hit, walking one and striking out three.
Blake Truett pitched a complete game allowing three runs on five hits, striking out eleven and did not walk a batter.
Greencastle will play in the Section 7 Tournament at East Side Little League in West Chester, PA Tuesday July 18 at 6:00 p.m. against East Side.
