Dane Harvey powers Southern Fulton first round win

Dane Harvey was clutch at the plate with ducks on the pond on Monday, driving in six on two hits to lead the Southern Fulton Indians (23-1) past the California Trojans 8-3 in the first round of the PIAA state playoffs on Monday. 

 Harvey drove in 3 runs on a home run in the first, and then hit another 3 run home run in the second. 

Ethan Mellott led things off on the hill for Southern Fulton Indians. The Jr. bulldog allowed three hits and two runs over three and a third innings, striking out seven.  Owen Oakman threw 3.2 innings of relief for the Indians.  The freshman gave up 3 hits and 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 4.

Addison Panepinto was on the hill for California. The righty lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and seven runs.  Caden Monticelli threw four and a third innings in relief out of the pen.

Southern Fulton Indians collected ten hits on the day.  Mark Fitz, Harvey, and Kasey Fitz each collected multiple hits for Southern Fulton Indians.  Fitz went 3-for-4 at the plate and had 4 stolen bases to lead Southern Fulton Indians in hits.

The Indians advance to the Elite 8 round on Thursday. They will take on West Middlesex at a site and time TBD.
