Williams double-double sparks Mont Alto to eighth straight win

Cameron Williams scored a game high 22 points and lead  Penn State Mont Alto to a 76-53 victory over Penn State DuBois. Mont Alto jumped out to an early lead  which hung around seven points until Penn State DuBois went on a five-point run, cutting the lead to two at 13-11 with 14:01 remaining in the first half on baskets by Zayver Craft and Jaiquil Johnson.

An Andrew Griffiths three pointer gave Penn State DuBois a 16-15 lead at the 11:10 mark

Penn State Mont Alto then went on a 7-0 run late in the half on back-to-back baskets by Quintyn Flemister and a Cameron Williams layup, giving them a 30-22 advantage

Penn State Mont Alto went into the half up 35-27 behind 10 points from Darrius Bush, 8 from Cameron Williams and 7 from Quintyn Flemister

Cameron Williams threw down a monstrous dunk in the second half to help Penn State Mont Alto build a sustainable lead to pull off an 8th straight victory.

With the win Penn State Mont Alto improves to (13-2 overall, 8-1 PSUAC) Penn State DuBois falls to (0-13 overall, 0-10 PSUAC) .

In addition to Williams 22 points, he also added 12 rebounds to record a double-double,  Darris Bush with 14 points and Caleb Eckert with 12 were also in double figures for Mont Alto.

Game Notes: Saturday’s win gives Penn State Mont Alto a current eight game win streak…Penn State Mont Alto went 18 for 23 from the foul line, compared to Penn State DuBois going only 7 of 10… Penn State Mont Alto capitalized on its turnovers generated, scoring 28 points off turnovers…Both mens and womens teams  travel to Penn State Scranton on Wednesday evening, men tipoff at 6, women at 8.
