GIRLS BASKETBALL
Greencastle-Antrim 60, Shippensburg 38: After a second straight night of poor shooting in the first half, the Blue Devils used a sticky trapping half-court defense that led to a third-period explosion of points and a Mid Penn Colonial victory over the Greyhounds on Tuesday night in Ship.
Shippensburg (2-4, 1-4 MPC) led 18-15 at halftime, but the change in defensive tactics enabled G-A (9-1, 5-0 MPC) to outscore its opponent 26-5 in the third period. The Blue Devils made only 5 of 29 shots in the opening half.
Haley Noblit produced a double-double for Greencastle, scoring 16 points and picking up 10 steals, along with 5 assists. Mia Libby contributed 12 points, 6 steals and 3 assists.
Also for the Blue Devils, Lauren Pool scored 7 points and had 7 boards, Ainsley Swindell had 8 points and 3 steals and Rylee Henson had 8 points and 4 rebounds.
For Shippensburg, Ryleigh Minor led with 12 points. The teams combined for 15 threes.

Shippensburg 75, Greencastle-Antrim 47: The Greyhounds skied to a 25-6lead after one quarter of play and maintained a comfortable margin throughout their Mid Penn Colonial victory over the Blue Devils in Greencastle on Tuesday night.
Shippensburg (6-1, 4-0 MPC) put three players in double figures, including two with at least 20 points — Jeremy Thomas scored 23 and Anthony Smith had 20 — and they combined for at least five dunks. Jayden Statum tallied 13 for the Hounds.
For Greencastle (2-7, 1-4 MPC), Blake Shadoan totaled 15 points and Bobby Emberson added 13. Those totals were career highs for each player.
