Big second half propels Waynesboro to sixth straight win

GETTYSBURG- Tied 10-10 at the end of the first quarter Waynesboro exploded for seventy one points over the final three quarters and defeated host  Gettysburg 81-44  to move to the championship game of the Gettysburg Holiday Tournament. The Indians will play Chambersburg Tuesday night at approximately 8:00 p.m. for the tournament championship. Chambersburg dealt Waynesboro its only loss of the season with a 70-54 victory  in the championship game of the Franklin County Tip Off Tournament.

Waynesboro led 36-27 at the half then outscored the Warriors 45-17 in the second half.

The Indians put ten players in the scoring column,. Michael Young had 16 points, Reese Cover added 13 and Louis Lindsay 10. Ian McLean led Gettysburg with 12.

Waynesboro  improves to 6-1 and Gettysburg falls to 3-3.
