The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers varsity girls volleyball teams started the new season in strong fashion Friday night with a clean 3-0 sweep of the Grace Academy Knights.
The Blazers took the match by earning game victories of 25-20, 25-20 and 25-19.
The Blazers were led by Emilee Beam, Kendra Bard and Morgan Householder each with 7 kills. Ryleigh Timmons and Kerri Potteiger had 11 and 6 digs respectively, and Regan Bard had 16 assists. Ryleigh Timmons also chipped in with 5 aces, and Niki Schussler had 4 aces.
Blazers coach Carole Rosenberry said, “It was an all-around solid defensive performance with some solid serving.”
The Blazers will host Calvary Christian on Tuesday at 5:45.
