Gettysburg 2, Chambersburg 1: Three Trojan pitchers limited the Warriors to just two runs, but the offense managed only one run and suffered a non-league loss Thursday at Greene Township Park.
“We pitched and played well (no errors),” Chambersburg coach Scott Folmar said, “but we couldn’t get a big hit when we needed one.”
Gettysburg (10-2) scored a pair of runs in the third inning off Hunter Stevens, who gave up four hits. Max Armstrong pitched three innings of four-hit ball with four strikeouts, and Brady Hughes tossed a hitless seventh.
Warriors pitcher Josh Topper allowed seven hits.
For the Trojans (1-12), Stevens went 2-for-3, Aaden Newman had a hit and an RBI and Hughes, Armstrong, Gavin Kissel and Bryson Byers also hit singles.

BOYS LACROSSE
Chambersburg 16, Red Land 3: The Trojans continued on a roll, beating Red Land to capture their fourth straight Mid Penn victory on Thursday.
Aidan Brechbill scored five goals and had an assist, Haden Ocker put up three goals and an assist, Klein Burkholder had two goals and an assist and Ben Melego scored twice.
Also, Grayson Hopple, Thomas Elia, Nash Bothe and Eli Kelso scored, and Austin Brookens, Hopple, Bothe and Kelso had assists.
The Trojans (6-6, 5-6 MPC), who led 7-1 after one period, won 17 of 22 face-offs and goalie Angel Santos made nine saves.
Chambersburg coach Paul Flohr said, “Brechbill had another big day and Bothe had a goal, a career-high 13 ground balls and a ton of face-off wins.”

Red Land 16, Chambersburg 3: The Patriots took a 13-0 halftime lead, but the Trojans played them to a 3-3 draw in the second half of the Mid Penn game Thursday at Trojan Stadium.
“We had a rough first half, but I was proud of them for starting fresh and turning up the intensity,” Chambersburg coach Keara Allshouse said. “We moved Ashlyn Bothe up to high attack and she scored three incredible goals.”
Bothe was the only player to score for the Trojans (1-11, 1-10 MPC).

GIRLS TRACK & FIELD
2 teams compete at Penn Relays: Chambersburg had a pair of relay teams compete at the prestigious Penn Relays at Franklin Field on Thursday.
The 4 x 400 team of Shanelle Burrowes, Sydnie Gilbert, Bre’ya Clopper and Maddie Kinton turned in a time of 4:07.98 to place sixth in their heat.
“That is easily our best time of the season, and one of our fastest times in recent memory,” Trojan coach Chris Monheim said.
In the 4 x 100, Burrowes, Taryn Robinson, Aniyah Jones and Jacelyn Jones produced a time of 51.51 to take eighth in their heat.
