Forbes Road 12 Hope for Hyndman 2

Waterfall, Pa. – Ethan Wright tossed a no-hitter, striking out seven and walking just one in this run-rule victory for Forbes Road.  The Cardinals managed only six hits, but benefitted from thirteen walks and four errors by the Hornets.  Matt Clippinger (1-3, 3B) and Kole Kendall (1-3, 3 RBI) highlighted the Cardinals’ offense.  Forbes Road (5-4, 3-4 ICC) is scheduled to host Everett tomorrow.

Fannett Metal 10 East Juniata 0

Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett Metal (4-9) hosted East Juniata today and won 10-0 in five innings.  The Tigers led 1-0 going into the 4th inning, when they sent 13 batters to the plate.  Big hits in that inning included two run RBI singles by Wyatt Appleby and Luke Coffman.  Kyler Goshorn, Frankie Ryder and Hunter Hill also produced RBI singles in that inning as well.  The Tigers had 13 hits on the day.  Luke Coffman and Wyatt Appleby both had three hits a piece, while Frankie Ryder and Kyler Goshorn each had a pair.  Extra base hits included Kyler Goshorn with a triple and Wyatt Appleby with a double.  Kyler Goshorn got the win on the mound, while J. Smidge was tagged with the loss for East Juniata.  Tiger Coach Paul Coffman said, “Kyler pitched a great game today.  He hit his spots and kept their hitters in check the entire game.  Colton Friese played a great shortstop in the field defensively.  We left the bases loaded two times earlier in the game so it was great to bust out offensively in that 4th inning.” FM will host SHC tomorrow at 4:30. 

Southern Huntingdon 8 Southern Fulton 5

Orbisonia, Pa. – Southern Fulton (5-6, 5-4 ICC) traveled to Southern Huntingdon and dropped a league conference matchup 8 to 5. The Indians fell behind early and despite outhitting the Rockets 10 to 8 were unable overcome the deficit. Konner Pittman, Isaac Fitz, and Colton Souders had 2 hits a piece for the Indians. Fitz also drove in 2 runs. Luke Fitz took the loss while J. Knepper picked up the win. The Indians will host Tussey Mt. on 4/25 at 4:30.
