Everett 14 McConnellsburg 2

McConnellsburg, Pa. – Everett traveled to McConnellsburg (3-2, 3-1 ICC) and handed the Spartans their first Inter County Conference loss by a score of 14 to 2. Kylie Garland and Matty Ross led McConnellsburg each going 2 for 3 from the plate. The Warriors outhit the Spartans 10 to 8, but 8 Spartan errors were the difference in the game. McConnellsburg Coach Dana Winters commented, “Too many errors …. can’t be competitive with 8 errors in a game. Everett hit the ball well today.” McConnellsburg’s game scheduled with Southern Huntingdon on 4/6 has now been moved to 4/15.

Waterfall Pa, – The Lady Tigers scored early and often, compiling 10 runs over the first 3 innings. Klarissa Miley picked up the complete game win, giving up 1 run over 5 innings on 4 hits. The Tigers offense was led by Morgan Ritchey with 5 RBIs on a double, a triple and 4 runs scored. Miley added 2 hits and 4 RBIs. Jade Rhodes added 2 RBIs to get the scoring started in the first inning on a single. Fannett Metal will host Hancock tomorrow at 4:30, while Forbes Road will return to action next Wednesday when they travel to Tussey Mt.
