STATE COLLEGE — Greencastle-Antrim junior Taryn Parks earned a pair of state titles on Sunday at the Pennsylvania Track & Field Coaches Association’s indoor championships.

Parks posted a personal-best time of 2:09.87 to win the 800, a time that is also currently in the top 10 across the nation.

In the mile, Parks put up a 4:53.48 to win that event, too.

Earlier this winter, Parks placed third at New York City’s Millrose Games in the mile, while her rival, Marlee Starliper of Northern York, won the event.

Chambersburg had six athletes qualify for states. The highest finisher was Brock Harmon, who threw the shot 52-6 to place eighth.

Tyeshawn Worrell ran a 7.04 in the heat and 7.03 in the semifinals to place 11th in the 60 dash.

He also competed with the Trojan 4 x 200 relay team that placed 13th in 1:32.54. The team included Karter Jones (23.0 on his leg), Worrell (23.4), Nate Cooper (23.0) and Diontae Barbour (23.1).

In the girls events, Chambersburg’s Shanelle Burrowes placed 20th in the 200 in a time of 27.50.
