Since Week 1 of the High School football season The Sports Page Staff have made their weekly picks of local high school football games, along with some college and pro games. After 23 weeks Greg Hoover has clinched the best overall record at 125-60-1 and will win by four games, if you listen to the WRGG Morning Show on 93.7 FM you have had a few reminders the past few weeks of Dr. Hoover’s imminent clinching, as he continues to await the presentation of his plaque. We will have the final records and photo on The Sports Page once the presentation is made.
Overall our staff was not good in predicting the outcome of the AFC and NFC Championship games with an overall record of 4-12, every panel member was either 1-1 or 0-2 for a combined 4-12. For the season the composite record stands at a very respectable 928-562-1, 366 games above .500.
