Orbisonia, Pa. – McConnellsburg (2-11, 1-7 ICC) traveled to Southern Huntingdon and fell in an Inter County Conference matchup 40 to 37. Matty Ross led the Spartans with 13 points. Jenny Cuntrell led the Rockets with 25 points. JV MHS 32 SH 8. McConnellsburg will host Fannett Metal on Thursday.
Northern Bedford 45 Forbes Road 42
Waterfall, Pa. – Forbes Road (4-8, 0-8 ICC) hosted Northern Bedford (2-9, 2-6 ICC) and fell in an ICC matchup 45 to 42. The Cardinals were led by a strong performance from Quincy McMath who had 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 steals. Maddie Cottle scored 17 points and Madison Johnson added 12 for the Panthers. Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “Good game tonight. We jumped out to an early lead, but struggled the second and third quarters. Once we figure out to put a whole game together look out! We had a shot at the end but couldn’t get a shot off to try and tie the game. Quincy had a nice game for us and did everything we needed her to. We’re getting there, it’s just much slower than any of us want it to be.” JV – NBC 32 FR 21(FR – Ashlin Walter 8 points) Forbes Road will travel to East Juniata today (1/23).
Tussey Mt. 47 Fannett Metal 42
Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett-Metal (8-4, 5-4 ICC) hosted Tussey Mt. (9-2, 8-1 ICC) and fell by a score of 42-47. The Titans outscored the Tigers 16-6 in the first quarter only to have the Tigers outscore the Titans 26-15 through the middle quarters. Fannett Metal entered in the 4th quarter with a 32-31 lead. However, a strong 16-10 4th quarter for Tussey secured the ICC victory. The Tigers were led in scoring by Johns-12 and M. Ritchey-11. The Titans were led in scoring by Weimert with 20 points. JV – FM 42 TM 16 (FM Hoffman 12). Fannett Metal travels to McConnellsburg on Thursday for a 6:00 start.

McConnellsburg, Pa. – In a game that was scheduled for Monday, but postponed due to weather, the Spartans (6-8, 4-5 ICC) picked up an ICC win over Southern Huntingdon 46 to 45. Dominick Reed hit a pair of free throws with 5 seconds left and led the Spartans with 22 points and pulled down 17 rebounds. Kolby Brown added 8 points and 8 rebounds, while Colton Mellott chipped in 6 points and 4 assists. JV – MHS 38 SH 36. McConnellsburg will travel to Williamsburg today (1/23) in a non league contest.

Warfordsburg, Pa. – Everett defeated Southern Fulton Tuesday evening in an ICC matchup. The Indians (8-5, 6-3 ICC) were leading after the first period, but allowed 17 second quarter points to trail the rest of the way. Justin Morris led SF with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Dylan Melton added 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Gabe Stotler chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds. Everett was led by Nate Maxwell with 14 points. JV – EHS 24 SF 20 (SF Luke Fitz 8 points) Southern Fulton travels to Berlin on Thursday.
