Southern Fulton Drops Heartbreaker in Holiday Tourney Finals

Berkeley Springs, Wv. – Fans at the Berkeley Springs high School gym got their money’s worth last evening as they saw the North Hagerstown Hubs edge Southern Fulton (3-2) by 1 point with time running out to win the Tri-State Shootout Championship 45 to 44. The Indians took a 22 to 20 lead into the locker room at the half, but was outscored in the second half.

The game stayed close throughout and Justin Morris hit a foul shot to take a 1 point lead with 9 seconds left. NH, then, came down the floor, missed a 3 and tipped the ball in for the win with .6 seconds on the clock. Justin Morris led the Indians with 15 points. Dylan Melton added 10 points. Gabe Stotler had 7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals. NH was led by Christian Teague 12 points and Jayvon Burrett with 10. Southern Fulton travels to Shade on Wednesday, January 2, in their next contest.
