Chbg. rdp for 12/11: Trojan boys win big

LEWISTOWN — Chambersburg had seven players score at least 7 points and the Trojans collected a 72-29 victory on the road Tuesday night in their first Mid Penn Commonwealth Division game of the season.

The number 7 came up frequently. Seth Brouse scored 7 of his 9 points in the first quarter, in which Chambersburg (2-1, 1-0 MPC) outscored the Huskies 19-3.

In the third period, in which the Trojans had a 21-2 bulge, Ty Holsopple scored 7 of his 11. And in the fourth, Max Doctor tallied 7 of his 11 points.

In addition, Tyler Collier scored 9 points, Kyere Morton had 8 and Braden Byers and Aaron Maynard each totaled 7.

Mifflin County’s leading scorers, Noah Wright and Isaiah Collins, each had 5 points.

Mifflin County 57, Chambersburg 35: The Trojans got off to a slow start and suffered a defeat to Mifflin County in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game Tuesday night.

The Huskies, who got 16 points from Molly Wagoner, led 19-4 after one quarter and 36-11 by halftime.

For the Trojans (1-2, 0-1 MPC), Ashley Adams had 9 points, Madison Flythe had 8 and Sydney Schmus had 7.
