Fannett Metal 2 West Branch 1 DOT/PKS
Morrisdale, Pa. – In only their second year the Fannett Metal Girl’s Soccer team (11-4-1) won their first Inter County Conference Championship in dramatic fashion 2 to 1 over West Branch in Penalty Kicks. Emilee Kessler scored the Tigers only goal in the first half. West Branch tied the game with 7 minutes to go in regulation. After 2 overtime periods with no score, the penalty kicks began. Alyssa Rotz made 2 amazing penalty saves to preserve the win for the Tigers. Fannett Metal will now await the pairings for the District V playoffs, which will begin on Wednesday, October 24th.
