GREENCASTLE — Vincent Castillo and Taylor Noblit each scored twice as the Blue Devil boys soccer team defeated Big Spring 4-1 on a rainy night at Kaley Field.  Greencastle opened the scoring in the game’s 14th minute as Castillo found the back of the net off a pass from Jason Freeman.  The Bulldogs rallied back as Cace Oburn tied the game eight minutes later as he volleyed a shot past Greencastle goalkeeper Gavin Davidson.  The Blue Devils answered right back as Taylor Noblit scored to give Greencastle and 2-1 lead in the 28th minute.  Castillo scored again off a Freeman assist to make it 3 to 1 just 96 seconds before halftime.

“Finally we are coming out and scoring some goals in the first half and that took the pressure off of us in the second half” said Blue Devil Head Coach Aric Bruner.  “Defensively we really locked it down in the second half so it was very well done by the boys this evening.”

Noblit closed out the scoring with a goal coming off of Freeman’s third assist of the night in the game’s 69th minute.  The win is the fourth in a row for the Blue Devils after they dropped their opening game last week to Northeastern York.  Greencastle is 3-0 and atop the Colonial Division as they look to win their fifth straight division championship.  The team is back in action on Tuesday evening as they travel to Shippensburg to face the Greyhounds.
