HAGERSTOWN, Md. – The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers rolled to another victory, handing Highland View Academy a 9-1 defeat Friday in a non-league boy soccer game.

Kenneth Hott connected for three goals and three assists to lead the Blazers. Eli Black and Caleb Eckert each scored two goals, Max Crawford added a goal and two assists, and Felix Kauffeldt scored a goal.

Black (4 saves) and Jack Gabler (5 saves) split time in goal.

“As a whole, the team’s speed is faster than [that of] our opponents,” CVCS coach Stan Hott said. “We were able to move the ball quickly back and forth across the field. The soccer knowledge of Kenneth and Eli helped them create space for other players even when they did not have the ball in their possession.”

In a game on Saturday, the Blazers (4-1) dropped a 5-0 decision to a talented Mercersburg Academy team.
