The Greyhounds picked up a huge non-division victory on Wednesday as they knocked off Northeastern 9-6 in 8 innings.

Shippensburg (12-3, 8-1 Colonial) jumped out top 2-0 and 6-1 leads before the Bobcats rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh.

Emily Wenner picked up the victory with 8 innings of 11 hits and six runs.

The Greyhounds only picked up six hits with Morgan Fetter having two hits. Wenner and Halle Zullinger each drove in two runs. Nine different Greyhounds scored runs in the game.

Northeastern had five extra base hits among their 11 hits, but seven errors did them in.

Shippensburg was scheduled to play Big Spring on Thursday in the fifth place game of the Bulldog Invitational.
