HIGHLAND PARK — The Chambersburg softball team picked up a huge Mid Penn Commonwealth victory Thursday, 12-10 over Cedar Cliff on the road, avenging an earlier 18-3 thrashing by the Colts.
The Trojans (10-4, 8-2 MPC) remain in a first-place tie with Mifflin County.
Taylor Myers was a big part of the Chambersburg offense, going 2-for-4 with a double and four runs driven in.
Also for the Trojans, Kara Neidigh, Haiden Brookens and Alexis Estep each had a pair of hits, including a double by Estep. Kirsten Johnson contributed two RBIs.
Brooklyn Miller (4-1) pitched 6.1 innings, allowing 10 its, 4 runs and striking out 7.
Chambersburg trailed 2-1 before putting 5 runs on the board in the third inning, and another five in the fourth.
Rachel DeWolfe was 4-for-4 for the Colts.
