Warfordsburg, Pa. McConnellsburg (4-5) traveled to Southern Fulton (4-7) and swept a double header 8-7 and 6-1. Destiny Hall picked up the win for the Lady Spartans. Madison Koontz led the hitting attack going 4-4 and Julia Lafferty added 3 hits. Kailey Swope and Carrie Glee each contributed 2 hits. Kylie Golden suffered the loss for Southern Fulton. In the nightcap, Destiny Hall had 3 hits and picked up her second win of the day as the Lady Spartans swept the DH 6-1. Madison Koontz and Sami Hensley each had 2 hits. Kylie Golden suffered the loss. Lady Spartans Coach Dana Winters commented, “Hall pitched 2 great games. We hit the ball well tonight and our fielding is coming together. Best team effort of the season.” The Lady Spartans will host Northern Bedford on Monday at 4:30, while the Lady Indians will host Fannett Metal on Monday at 4:30.
