Willow Hill, Pa. Fannett-Metal avenged an earlier loss to previously undefeated Chestnut Ridge by beating the Lady Lions 5 to 1in a Sideling Hill League contest. Jade Rhodes pitched a complete game 2 hitter for the winners, allowing only a 1st inning unearned run. Fannett-Metal scored in each of the first four innings. Morgan Ritchey led all hitters with 3 hits, including 2 doubles and an RBI. The Lady Tigers play at Southern Huntingdon Friday at 4:30.
Forbes Road 7 Hyndman Charter 6
Hustontown, Pa. Payton Watkins knocked in Madison Hays for the game winner as Forbes Road (2-4) defeated Hyndman Charter in a non league contest. Courtney Schoen threw a complete game while striking out six in picking up the win. Madison Hayes collected three hits including a double and drove in two runs. Harlie Strait added two hits for the Lady Cardinals. Forbes Road is scheduled to play today (Friday) against Tussey Mountain.
