Everett 4 Fannett Metal 2
Despite getting a baserunner in every inning, Fannett-Metal (1-1, 1-1 SHL, 1-1 ICC) was unable to come up with the key hit to muster enough runs against the Lady Warriors. Eight of Fannett-Metal’s starters reached base safely and six different hitters recorded hits. However, Morgan Ritchey had the lone multi-hit game for the Lady Tigers with two singles. With Everett leading 1 to 0 after the first, Fannett-Metal managed to tie the game at 1 on a RBI sac bunt by Lidia Stouffer. In the top of the 3rd, the Lady Tigers took a 2 to 1 lead when Kassie Holtry singled and reached 3rd on a fielding error followed by a Claudia Umbrell RBI single. The Lady Warriors scored 2 in the bottom of the 3rd to regain the lead and tacked on one more in the 4th. Jade Rhodes pitched a complete game for the Lady Tigers striking out 5 and walking 1. The Lady Tigers are back in action Wednesday at McConnellsburg.
